Two immense works by the great composer begin the year for Les Grands Ballets, which will be marking the 250th anniversary of the birth of Beethoven, a monumental figure in classical music.

American Garrett Smith will open the evening with the remarkable Symphony No 5, and completing this double-bill is a bequest from the late Uwe Scholz with the majestic music of Beethoven’s Symphony No 7.
