Tuesday Night Cafe Theatre presents “The Sweetest Swing in Baseball” by Rebecca Gilman.

Dana – a young artist quickly rising in popularity – succumbs to the pressure of the constantly growing expectations of art critics and peers, and attempts suicide. After realizing her insurance will only pay for a certain amount of time in a rehabilitation centre where her mental well-being has begun to improve, she decides to fake a more serious mental illness. With the help of two other patients, she pretends to believe that she is the famous big-league baseball player Darryl Strawberry, while she tries to make a comeback.
