Rendez-Vous Lakay is the story of two sisters, 1st generation Haitian-Canadian women who travel to Haiti, sent by their mother to their father’s funeral, a man the never knew. Upon arrival, as it is their first time in the country, their ideas and expectations are completely subverted and the trip becomes a journey of love, humour, and a deep exploration of the dance and storytelling traditions of Haiti.
