After the magnificent The Great Tamer, Dimitris Papaioannou returns to Usine C with a video installation that lasts for six hours, during which the spectators are free to come and go as they please. With a minimalist setting of a bedroom, thirty performers go about their repetitive daily tasks: taking a shower, getting undressed, having breakfast, sleeping in, watching the spectacle of the city from a balcony. Papaioannou, a choreographer of incredible visual prowess, creates magic out of nothing, feeding on futility and emptiness in order to fashion a melancholy landscape that is utterly fascinating. It’s an invitation to an inner voyage.
