Antigone

March 30 @ 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)
Performances from March 28-30
MainLine Theatre, 3997 Boul Saint-Laurent
Montreal, QC Canada

Creon, King of Thebes, has forbidden the burial of Polynices with the Senate's approval. In order to bury her brother, Antigone will stand against king and state and risk everything. Does duty to country supersede her familial bonds? Are moral virtues more important than the law? The tensions that Antigone faces could not be any clearer. And they are just as pressing and poignant today as they were nearly 2,500 years ago when Sophocles wrote his play.

Presented by the Liberal Arts College Theatre Society at the MainLine Theatre from March 28-30.
