Audition Notice: House of Actors presents “Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train”

House of Actors is proud to announce auditions for the upcoming production of “Jesus Hopped the ‘A’ Train” by Stephen Adly Guirgis

The play takes place in Rikers Island. Our two main protagonists, Angel Cruz & Lucius Jenkins, are facing murder charges.

  • Lucius Jenkins: Lead. Black male, 35 to 50. Charismatic and confident. Lucius is a sociopathic serial killer awaiting extradition to Florida. He is a man that has recently found God and has the intention of “saving” Angel. At first glance, a wonderful person who wouldn’t seem to fit in at Rikers.
  • Valdez: Supporting. Latino male, 30s-40s. A brutal and direct prison guard who believes in a world of black and white only. No grey area.
  • Charlie D’Amico: Supporting. White male, 30s-40s. A prison guard who has been recently replaced by Valdez.
