“Theatre After COVID” discussion panel with Montreal industry leaders to be presented April 29th

Online conversation to be held as part of the programming for the Blue Metropolis International Literary Festival

On Thursday, April 29th, 2021 at 10:00 AM, the Blue Metropolis International Literary Festival presents as part of its Converging Perspectives And Conversations Series an online discussion panel on “Theatre After COVID”.

Four top Montreal theatre leaders discuss their hopes and fears for the art post COVID-19. Will audiences rush back to theatre, hungry for the unique live performance, or be seduced away by Netflix and other online narrative forms? How will theatre incorporate the experience of digital performance into future projects?

Hosted by Marianne Ackerman, panel participants include Jessie Mill and Martine Dennewald (Co-directors, Festival des Amériques), Amy Blackmore (Executive and Artistic Director of MainLine Theatre, the St-Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival and the Bouge d’ici Dance Festival), and Annabel Soutar (Artistic Director, Porte Parole).
