Do you know of an exceptional individual or organization that’s had a profound impact on the Montreal theatre community?
The METAs – Montreal English Theatre Awards have extended the deadline for nominations to the 2020 Unsung Hero of the Theatre (UHOT) Award and the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Award.
The UHOT award was established in 2014 to celebrate the members of our community who too rarely get the public recognition they deserve. Think of stage managers, carpenters, set painters, administrators, and the myriad of talented craftspeople that bring a production to life.
The EDI award was established in 2015 to recognize and encourage practices of access and inclusion, and to celebrate those who embrace the range of cultures, identities and abilities that make up and enrich our city.
Practitioners immersed in Montreal’s theatre community are invited to submit a candidate (individual or company) who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution that reflects the full diversity of Montreal and its artists on stage or off. Candidates in all areas of theatre production are eligible for nomination. Self-nominations are welcome!
