Repercussion Theatre is hiring for the 2020-2021 season! Applications are now open for the following positions:

Artistic Associate

Timeframe: August 24 to November 27 (12 weeks)
Location: Remote (with some in-person meetings if possible)
Application Deadline: August 14 at 5pm

We are looking for artists who have been working in theatre for a few years, have an interest in engaging critically with classical work, and are invested in the Montreal (and surrounding area) theatre community.

Three Artistic Associates will work with our Artistic Director to: research and discuss projects being undertaken by other Shakespeare companies (with a particular focus on the presence/perspectives of women, indigenous artists, artists of colour, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and artists with disabilities); read and discuss plays; explore ideas for future Repercussion projects; and help to coordinate a virtual roundtable.

Volunteer Coordinator

Timeframe: September 14 to October 23 (6 weeks)
Montreal and remote
Application Deadline: August 28 at 5pm

The Volunteer Coordinator will help develop better practices to enable volunteer participation in future Repercussion productions. The coordinators duties will include: a review of the current volunteer coordination manual; the development of outreach strategies; the collection of testimonials from previous volunteers; and research into volunteer management databases.

Web Developer

Timeframe: August 17 to November 6 (12 weeks)
Application Deadline: August 7 at 5pm

The Web Developer will help review and refresh the company’s current website (paying particular attention to the organisation of data and consistency of coding); revise digital content management strategies; and partner with Repercussion’s Archivist to create/host/mediate a digital archive.


Timeframe: August 17 to November 6 (12 weeks)
Montreal and remote
Application Deadline: August 7 at 5pm

The Archivist will help take stock of existing materials and objects (audio-visual items/recordings, costumes, print materials, et cetera) (i.e. perform collections management); assess the Company’s archival/preservation needs; begin to codify and catalogue archival materials; digitise archival materials; and plan/springboard oral history/archival project(s).
