Dear friends of Montreal Theatre Hub,
As you know, times have been difficult for our beloved theatre community in this beautiful city and many others across the globe due to the current coronavirus crisis.
Here at the Hub, we’ve been working to keep activities running as normally as possible with our dedicated coverage of Montreal English theatre, and our most recent #RiseMTL series has been a source of joy for us in highlighting all of the wonderful initiatives that our companies and artists have been undertaking to help keep us connected and creative during quarantine.
However, the Hub is now currently struggling to find the resources to maintain its operations feasible. Even as we put out content, there is little demand to meet the effort. With no income from advertising or other sources of funding, we are running at a loss. As such, in full transparency, our activities have become unsustainable at this point.
To that end, we will be temporarily suspending most of our reporting, writing, interviewing, reviewing, and other editorial activities as of today, May 16th until August 31st, 2020.
We will, however, strive to continue to voluntarily provide you with the most essential industry information, which include: important news, job postings, casting calls, and any other resources or opportunities of greater interest to the community. We will still tend to our social media and e-mails. We would still love to receive your press releases and event invites. We do compassionately ask, however, for your patience in any delayed replies.
We appreciate your understanding and apologize for our inability to further contribute during this period. This is a heartbreaking decision to make, but one that will hopefully help us all in the long term as we attempt to recover and come back with strength in the upcoming seasons.

Sending love and light,
