Hold that date for THE GLAM MOTHERS at the Leonardo da Vinci Centre from January 15th to 26th, 2020!
Starring in alphabetical order: Tony Calabretta, Tony DeSantis, Britttany Drisdelle, Claudia Ferri, and Natasha Gargiulo
Pellegrini Productions is back again at the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre with THE GLAM MOTHERS, a comedy that will make you laugh and cry, written by Tony Calabretta and directed by Antonio DiVerdis. THE GLAM MOTHERS promises to be a crowd-pleaser just like Calabretta and DiVerdis’ previous collaborations at the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre, Don’t Blame It On The Stork and Damn Those Wedding Bells!. THE GLAM MOTHERS is another hilarious heartwarming tale about the trials and tribulations of family life with a “twist of tristesse”.
What is a “Glam Mother”? The urban dictionary defines a glam mother as a grandmother who is still young and beautiful. A diva. Enter two Glam Mothers, Luisa and Maria. They have nothing in common other than being related through marriage – their children’s. What will happen when their worlds collide? Come see the show and find out. There will be laughter, there will be tears, there will be glamour!
Who better to step into the stilletos of these two Glam Mothers than local divas Claudia Ferri, star of the Canadian sitcom Ciao Bella (CBC/Radio-Canada, 2004-05), and Natasha Gargiulo, formerly TV Host of ET Canada and radio personality on “Freeway & Natasha in the Morning” at Virgin Radio Montreal.
Britanny Drisdelle plays the young “bella donna” caught in between two glamorous older women in “mid-wife” crisis while veteran theatre & film actor Tony Calabretta (Ciao Bella) dons his actor’s hat and Tony DeSantis rounds out the male members of the cast.
We all come from families and can’t live with or without them. Calabretta’s plays about “la famiglia” riff on this universal theme. At once funny and thought-provoking with plenty of bling THE GLAM MOTHERS has something for everyone.
