The Italian and Neapolitan-language musical celebrating the Italian immigrant’s journey to Canada returns to Casa d’Italia in January 2020.
After two SOLD OUT performances during this summer’s Montreal’s Italian Week, and due to popular demand, Tina Mancini returns to the main stage at the Casa d’Italia for three encore presentations of her musical hit La Dolce Vita En Exil: Il Panto per L’America on January 10, 11 & 12, 2020.

Maria Giannina Valicetta is an Italian woman who dreams of adventure. In 1956, she leaves her homeland, Sorrento, Italy, in hopes of finding a better life in Montreal, Canada. Throughout the musical, we witness Maria Giannina’s departure, life on the ship, and the transition to her new life in Canada. Told through popular Italian and Neapolitan songs and interactions with key characters she meets, this is a celebration of women, and the timeless and universal story of tradition, hope, love and nostalgia.

TINA MANCINI is a multilingual (English, French, Italian, Neapolitan) actor, singer, certified teacher, teaching artist, playwright, and director. Tina is a proud graduate of New York’s Circle in the Square Theatre School (Musical Theatre Professional Workshop) & McGill University (B. Ed). In Montreal, she studied Bel Canto with Suzanne Robertson. She also studied classical voice at Accademia Internationale Di Musica (Rome). She continues to train with Mirjana Milovanovic (Cirque du Soleil). Tina has performed in Canada, USA and France. Besides “La Dolce Vita En Exil, Io Parto Per L’America,” major roles she has performed in include: Phantom (Carlotta), Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck), Into The Woods (Witch), Merton of The Movies (Flips), Great American Trailer Park -in English & French Canadian- (Lin), Le Pays du Sourire (Princess Mi) and Yeomen of the Guard (Phoebe).
