‘UNFOLD | 7 PERSPECTIVES’ BACK IN MONTREAL
November 27 at the Théâtre Outremont
Montreal, November 6th, 2019 – Choreographer Danièle Desnoyers’ recent creation, UNFOLD | 7 perspectives, presented at the Festival TransAmériques last May (read our review from the FTA here), is back in Montreal for a single performance on November 27 at 9 p.m. at the Théâtre Outremont. It is a chance to see a powerful and undeniably successful work marking the 30 years of creation of this major figure in contemporary dance.
Vibrating to the sound and music of Montreal composer Ben Shemie, UNFOLD | 7 perspectives combines an apocalyptic atmosphere with moments of sweetness and refined sensuality. Around a surprising stage structure, Desnoyers tests the body’s resistance and the limits of balance. Magnetic and powerful duel between the forces at play in harmony, the work captivates by its finesse and furious energy.
“‘Unfold | 7 Perspectives’ slowly unravels itself into a powerful exploration of humanity and identity.”
