Call for Submissions: TNC Theatre’s Collective Rant

Submission deadline: October 30th, 2019

Are you an artist, writer, actor, activist, or enthusiast interested in acting or presenting thematic works discussing representation, performance art and political theatre?

Tuesday Night Café Theatre’s Rant Collective is looking for all of the above! If you’re interested in acting and/or contributing (writing monologues, teching, stage managing, assistant directing) we’re seeking submissions and hosting auditions in the weeks to come!

Hosted by established student director Summer Mahmud, performances and discussions will center around a set of collaborative rehearsals and workshops to present minority voices on stage through your submissions.

General themes include, but are not limited to:

  • Gender and minority representation
  • Performance art & feminism
  • Social / Political activism
  • Minority experiences

For writing contributions, TNC recommends pieces that are near completion, as its focus on the creative process is at the heart of performance art.

For questions, contact summer.mahmud@mail.mcgill.ca with the subject line ‘Rant Collective.’
