A unique artistic and unifying event created on the fringe of the Festival TransAmériques, each year the OFFTA offers a multidisciplinary programming focused on contemporary creation and the crossing of live art.
OFFTA’s identity is based on an artistic direction that encourages strong initiatives, emerging practices and experimentations. For the last thirteen years, its team has explored theatre, dance and performance scenes, looking for artists whose works transcend our daily lives and change our view of the world. Artists who, through their practices, question, transform and resist in their own way the ongoing uniformity. Neither seeking consensus nor speaking with a single voice, they are united in their diversity and contribute, in their own way, to the renewal of established models.
In order to develop the programming of the 14th edition of the festival that will be held in late May/early June 2020, the OFFTA is seeking projects that are the result of new writings that touch and shake our beliefs, proposals responding to the urgency of our time and which question our relationship to the world and to others. The call is open to all forms : those that are « a little crazy and fit nowhere » ; finished works ; early stages of creation ; laboratories ; short forms ; indoor or outdoor performances, etc.
* OFFTA presents projects from Québec and Canada only
Deadline: Sunday, November 10th, 11:59 pm
