International cast presents “I Love Love” at Montreal Improv Theatre July 5th & 6th

Improvised play about a four-letter word makes Montreal Premiere

MONTREAL, June 10th, 2019. A world-class cast of performers from Canada and the United States assemble at the Montreal Improv Theatre to present “I LOVE LOVE”, an improvised play about a four-letter word.

Originating at the Vancouver International Improv Festival in 2018 and created by Montreal Improv co-founder, VINNY FRANÇOIS, this is the Montreal premiere of the show.

A stellar cast of local and out-of-town improvisers come together to present scenes and monologues about love based on stories gathered from the audience. This show explores not just the funny side of love and relationships but also the parts that can make us angry, comforted or heartbroken. Mixing comedy, drama and unscripted theatre, “I LOVE LOVE” is a new breed of improv show that aims for more than laughs.

“We want people to get a theatre experience from an unscripted show,” says François. “We wanted to take something universal and try to capture all of the feelings, good or bad, funny or sad, and put them onstage with the immediacy of improv and the techniques of traditional theatre.”
