Conseil des arts de Montréal offers “MTL en Vitrine Grant” for emerging artists

Application deadline: April 15, 2019

La Vitrine culturelle and the Conseil des arts de Montréal are continuing their partnership to offer the privately funded MTL en Vitrine Grant, intended for emerging artists from culturally diverse backgrounds. The $5,000 grant will be awarded to an individual artist to create a work in circus arts, visual arts, digital arts, cinema and video, dance, literature, music, theatre, new artistic practices or street performance.

With this initiative, La Vitrine culturelle and the Conseil des arts de Montréal want to highlight the creativity, daring, and artistic diversity of Montréal as a cultural centre.

The jury for the grant will consist of international students in the Passeport MTL étudiant international program, the first legacy of the Society for the Celebrations of Montréal’s 375th Anniversary’s socioeconomic projects. The grant will be awarded in the fall of 2019 during the International Students’ Homecoming event. The MTL en Vitrine Grant is made possible thanks to La Vitrine, BMO Financial Group, and Passeport MTL étudiant international partners, in association with the Conseil des arts de Montréal.
