The Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre is seeking a Sephardic male singer, aged 25-40ish, to join its June production of A Century Songbook at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts.
The selected performer will be featured in a light-hearted scene celebrating the union of a Sephardic husband and his Ashkenazi wife. The scene involves some dialogue in French, and a song in Ladino.
A Century Songbook, is a musical ‘love letter’ to the Jewish community of Montreal. Mainly in English but multilingual (French, Hebrew, Russian, etc.) the show celebrates 100 years of Jewish life in Montreal through song and stories. The show will run from June 16th-30th, 2019 (14 shows.) Schedule upon request. Rehearsals are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and some Sundays.
