“Urban Tales XII” and “Schwartz’s: the Musical” to light up Centaur stages this December

Flagship Montreal theatre company to celebrate 50th anniversary with diverse programming this holiday season

Montreal, November 20th, 2018The 12th edition of Centaur Theatre’s Urban Tales, in association with Urbi et Orbi, presents 5 shows of FEATHERS: 12 days of Xmas stories spun from a silly song, December 7, 8, 11, 14 and 15, 2018.

Event curator, Harry Standjofski, directs the original yarns, written and told by some of Montreal’s brightest theatre-makers. Centaur’s annual antidote to the seasonal overdose of syrupy saccharine sentiments runs the gamut from twisted hilarity to total absurdity. The year’s stories are:

  • The Women’s Christmas written by L. M. Leonard, told by Danette MacKay
  • A Christmas Caroler written & told by Laurent Pitre
  • Douai written by Harry Standjofski, told by Laurent Pitre
  • Motherless Milk written by Joanne Sarazen, told by Alarey Alsip
  • seven last words written and told by Harry Standjofski
