Audition Notice: “4:48 Psychosis” by Sarah Kane

Auditions: October 23-25, 2018 | Performances: February 14-16, 2019

Alice Hinchliffe directs Sarah Kane’s 4.48 Psychosis, a piece of contemporary British theatre which explores the internal landscape of a [suicidal] psychosis. Through fragmented writing and unidentified voices, we witness a mind trying to negotiate the borders of sanity and reality. The play will be performed in the Mini Main at Mainline Theatre February 14, 15, and 16 2019.

Please note this is a non-union project.

WHO: Anyone regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, or previous theatre experience
WHEN: October 23, 24 and 25 (Tuesday to Thursday) from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.

(It is not required that you learn the passages, I will have a printed version for the audition).

Ideally, you will sign up in the same time slot as one or two other people so as to have a group audition (as you will see, one of the audition passages is a dialogue). Auditions will last 30 minutes. You do not need to be a student. You do not need to be a professional actor. Auditions are open to all who want to perform.
