MONTREAL, September 26th, 2018. The Montreal theatre community is pleased to announce its newest member: CONTACT THEATRE, a dynamic new theatre company that takes a modern approach to Broadway’s most risqué musicals.

The local theatre scene is about to be stormed with fresh and provocative themes that rarely make it to stage as Contact Theatre will produce shows that grapple with heavy moral issues and question the status quo. The stage is designed to showcase diverse voices and talent from the community. All audiences will be welcomed to witness cutting edge productions spearheaded by two young artists with a unique vision.

Ally Brumer and Debora Friedmann are the co-founders of Contact Theatre. The pair met four years ago during a university production of RENT with AUTS, inspiring the company’s title. Brumer’s keen eye for theatrical detail and Friedmann ‘s innovative artistic vision brought the duo back together to realize new projects that push creative boundaries and challenge typical theatrical norms. Following a hugely successful partnership working on The Addams Family Musical with WISTA in 2018, which was recently nominated for a Montreal English Theatre Award, the two can’t wait to take the Montreal musical theatre scene by storm.

Contact Theatre aims to produce shows that are accessible to everyone and attractive to new audiences. For more information about accessibility and upcoming events please get in touch at
