Repercussion Theatre presents a “Romeo & Juliet: Love is Love” preshow forum, “The Repercussions of Representation: Queering Shakespeare” on Tuesday, July 31st from 4pm to 6pm at McGill Campus’ Three Bares Park (Av Du Docteur-Penfield).
After getting many diverse opinions about its 2018 Shakespeare-in-the-Park queer production of “Romeo & Juliet: Love is Love”, Repercussion Theatre has decided to host a facilitated afternoon of dialogue and exchange.
This pre-show forum is an opportunity to take part in a productive conversation about the queering of theatre – bringing new dimensions to Shakespeare and other canons.
The forum will be facilitated by Jesse Stong, a queer theatre creator/performer and art educator.
There will be a limited number of lawn chairs available. Feel free to bring your own picnic blanket!
Come join in on the conversation for the afternoon and stay afterwards for a performance of “Romeo & Juliet: Love is Love” at 7:00 pm.

This is a child-friendly event; there will be experienced childcare volunteers available to help supervise/engage with our youngest participants. Additionally, Repercussion will be hosting its Shakespeare-Before-The-Show Workshop onsite in collaboration with Geordie Theatre School for kids ages 11-17.
