Synopsis: This adaptation from the 2003 Miramax film starring Helen Mirren is based on an uplifting and very inspiring true story.  A group of extraordinary women persuade one another to pose for a charity calendar, their modesty spared only by artfully placed cakes, knitting and flower arrangements, thus sparking a global phenomenon. Calendar Girls is funny, quirky, and poignant.
