Casting Call: Auditions for “Rhinoceros” at Players’ Theatre

Auditions: October 12-14, 2017. Performances: January 17-27, 2018

Players’ Theatre presents Rhinoceros, written by Eugene Ionesco and directed by Guy Ettlin, from January 17th to 27th, 2018.

“This is your chance to be part of a fast-paced, comedic and thought-provoking show that has become a classic of the Theatre of the Absurd. We are looking for a cast of seven, with an affinity for physical theatre, clown-work and the ability to quickly switch between characters.

When: Thursday Oct 12, 4:30 – 8, Friday Oct 13, 3-8 with Call-backs on Saturday, Oct 14, 10am-2pm.

Where: TBA

No preparation is required, but make sure to show up 10-15 minutes prior to your audition time in order to familiarize yourself with the cold read material.

Optionally, if you have a short performance piece prepared that showcases one of your unique strengths on stage, you can include it in your audition.

Audition signup sheet are posted on the Drama Board in the McGill University Arts Building (853 Sherbrooke Street West). Walk-ins will be accommodated if possible, but best not to take any chances and sign up on the cork-board.”
