Workshops: Grant Writing and Self-Producing with MainLine’s Amy Blackmore

 

This February, MainLine Theatre’s Executive & Artistic Director Amy Blackmore will be leading 2 pay-what-you-can workshops for local performing artists at the Galerie MainLine (3905 St-Laurent):


Grant Writing Workshop

Saturday, February 4 from 3PM – 5PM

Ready to start writing those grants? Take this straight-forward grant writing workshop! We’ll cover where to get started, practical dos and don’ts and healthy process practices. Let’s discuss how your work fits into the greater picture and help you get a head start in applying for those grants!

Self-Producing Workshop

Saturday, February 11 from 3PM – 5PM

Thinking about producing your own work? This workshop will include tailored advice and feedback for your performing arts projects. We will cover helpful tips as well as the DOs and DON’Ts of DIY producing on topics such as marketing, fundraising, production, finances and administration.

Pay-What-You-Can registration – limited spaces available.

Amy Blackmore is also the Executive and Artistic Director of MainLine Theatre, the St-Ambroise Montreal FRINGE Festival and the MainLine Gallery. She is also one of the co-founders and the Artistic Director of the Bouge d’ici Dance Festival. Amy is known for her versatility, having produced, directed, choreographed, performed and assisted for the work of many companies such as Just For Laughs, Infinitheatre, Art Matters, The Montreal Highlights Festival and more. She is currently the President of the Quebec Drama Federaion board of directors and its on the grant jury Conseil des Arts de Montréal for Les Nouvelles pratiques artistiques/pluridisciplinaires.
