Masha: (55) An actress; the middle sibling; attractive, grand, self-loving and self-doubting; a sexy kitten for whom life is a performance.
Nina: (early 20s) A neighbour’s niece; pretty, luminous, and hopeful; sweet, strong; an aspiring actress.
Cassandra: (25 – 65) The house-keeper; exotic, sassy, and dramatic; like her namesake, she has the power of prophesy, but no one ever believes her.

Vanya: (57) The eldest sibling; stuck in a rut; gay; an aspiring playwright; an easy-going guy with a low-key comic discomfort.
Spike: (27) Masha’s boy-toy/boyfriend; an aspiring actor; handsome, great body, sure of himself, physical, out-going, and self-absorbed; must be comfortable stripped to his underwear.
