WISTA – The West Island Theatre Association – is ogre-joyed to announce auditions for its 2nd major production of its 10th anniversary season, SHREK THE MUSICAL!
November 12 (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
November 13 (5:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
November 19 (7:30 AM – 11:00 AM)

Will be e-mailed to you upon booking
– Singing: Prepare a 1-minute musical theatre song. Select the section that best highlights your vocal range & strengths. Please bring a karaoke track with you (A capella auditions will not be accepted)
– Dancing: You will receive a short choreo video with your audition confirmation to learn the basic steps. You will work with our choreographer to learn variations and additional steps!
– Acting: We will provide you with a script for a cold read. You will not be required to memorize it!
** PUPPETEERS will be needed to operate several roles that will be occupied by puppets. Please email us if you are interested in attending a FREE workshop to learn how to be a puppeteer for this musical! Note: you can both express your interest as a puppeteer AND submit an audition request (or simply one or the other)!

The West Island Theatre Association (WISTA) is a non-profit community theatre company founded in 2006, that allows individuals between the ages of 17 and 29 to interact and perform in the wonderful world of musical theatre. Our main goal is to keep alive the passions of an energetic combination of singers, dancers, technicians and musicians by giving them a space to grow and develop their skills. WISTA is a member of the Quebec Drama Federation (QDF) and has been nominated for 3 META Awards for “Outstanding Community Theatre Production”.
