What’s on this weekend (Sep 16-18)

The fall theatre season in Montreal has officially taken off! These are the selection of shows happening throughout this weekend of September 16-18th, 2016 to keep on your radar:


  • The Next Wave – Festival of New Musical Theatre presented by the CETM ends this Saturday with final performances of A Song of Fiction and Sixties Follies on Friday and The Act 10 fundraising event on Saturday evening. TICKETS ($18-60)
  • The Unit – Festival of Staged Readings presented by Infinithéâtre also ends this Saturday. Only 3 performances remain in the lineup (The Lie SpeakerYev, and Successions) and all shows will be presented FREE to the public at The Centaur Theatre. TICKETS (Free – donations accepted)
  • My Name is Asher Lev by Aaron Posner tells the powerful and moving story of a young Hasidic man divided by his art and his religion and it plays at the Segal Centre for the Performing Arts until October 2nd. TICKETS ($24-60)
  • Damn Those Wedding Bells, the feel-good comedy by Tony Calabretta, is presented by Pellegrini Productions and it continues its run at the Leonardo da Vinci Centre until September 25th. TICKETS ($40-50)
