Workshop: Neuroscience Actor’s Workshop (July 30 & 31)

Neuroscience Actor's Workshop

Workshop: Neuroscience Actors’ Workshop – July 30 to July 31st, 2016

Hosted by Straeon Acting Studios (including FSR member Jen Viens) and led by Brendan Parsons (M.Sc., Ph.D student, BCN), participants of the Neuroscience Actor’s Workshop will be connected to sophisticated equipment that can measure real-time physiological systems with the goal of learning how to manipulate and control them. Then, each participant will undergo a functional brain scan, as well as complete selected questionnaires to help them better understand their own psychology and mind-body-brain relationship. Imagine how powerful a weapon your mind could be in that audition room, on that stage, and in front of that camera if you knew how it worked! Finally, participants will have a half-hour meeting to discuss the results. A written report of the findings will be sent to the participant in the week following the workshop. This workshop is designed for film or stage actors. A maximum of 12 registrants will be accepted.
