ABOUT WE ARE HERE PRODUCTIONS

As an artist living pay check to pay check, Matt Lacas was frustrated by not being able to give back monetarily to those in need. Lacas founded We Are Here Productions in December 2017, a non for profit theatre company that aims to give tangible aid to those in need at home and worldwide. We Are Here has raised 16,000$ in its first year for charities such as The Hispanic Federation and The Canadian Mental Health Association. Producing full musicals on a limited budget, We Are Here continues to push what can be achieved through donation of time, talent and resources.

Past productions include Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In The Heights” and “Heathers – The Musical”.

We Are Here aims to raise 50,000$ for charitable causes by the end of the 2019 season.
