Quebec Drama Federation Fall Theatre Calendar Launch – September 17th


Montreal, September 13th, 2018. The Quebec Drama Federation is celebrating the fall theatre season with the launch of the Fall Theatre Calendar! At Le Gesù (Espace Custeau), on September 17th, 2018, a collection of local independent, community and professional productions take the stage to give a hint of what’s to come in their upcoming production. This is the first launch of the new team at QDF including Patrick Lloyd Brennan, holly Greco and Benjamin Chafe! The QDF team will talk about the spotlight and hashtag, #weareQCtheatre. The Fall Theatre Calendar Launch is a great way to see what QDF members have in store for the fall theatre season!

About the Hosts:

Kayleigh Choniere: Kayleigh Choiniere Is a Montreal native and Dome graduate. She has appeared in Geordie Productions’ Game Changers, Centaur Theatre’s Triplex Nervosa, and The History of Sexuality by Dane Stewart. Kayleigh can be seen in a series of short films by director David Hall for The Made in New York Media Centre, as well as TV series Fatal Vows, Mohawk Girls, and Broken Trust. She has voiced characters ranging from an orange to a hammer-wielding massacre maid. Upcoming projects include Vox, a short film by Adam Capriolo, and Incendo film Thicker Than Water. Kayleigh thrives wearing many hats; she also produces and designs costumes.

Dane Stewart: Dane is a multidisciplinary artist and recent graduate of Concordia University’s Individualized Master’s program. His work spans queer identity, research-creation, and the ethics of representation. As an academic he’s had the pleasure of lecturing at McGill and Concordia, among others. His first full length play, How Exile Melts, was produced by McGill’s Department of English in 2014. As an actor, Dane has performed in Spring Awakening (Centaur Theatre’s Brave New Looks 2014), Godspell (Beautiful City Theatre), and MainLine’s The Rocky Horror Show. He also spent a few marvellous years touring around playing keyboard with Montreal-band, Motel Raphael. Dane is an educator and public advocate for alternative sexual practices and lifestyles including BDSM and human pup play.
