The Worst (Or, Possibly, Best) Funeral
American performer Michael Burgos has been amusing the world for the past three years — with death.
In his one-person dark comedy, The Eulogy, Burgos takes a traditionally heavy event — a funeral — and through the alchemy of the stage, makes it as light and fun as possible.
The Eulogy is an absurd, theatrical parody of a funeral speech, featuring a menagerie of characters whose inept and inapt speeches give anything but a proper homage.
Performed in 25 cities across 10 time zones, Burgos’ internationally award-winning play celebrates its 145th performance at Montréal Improv on Wednesday, June 13 as part of the Festival St-Ambroise Fringe de Montréal.
