Theatre NDG is auditioning for a new play set to run Nov. 23 – Dec. 2, 2017. The play will be a one-act comedy, tentatively entitled Hunting Moon, with 8 characters (4 women & 4 men) all aged about late 20s to late 30s or early 40s. The audition will be held August 30th 2017 at 7pm at the Loyola Chapel on Concordia’s Loyola Campus 7141 Sherbrooke W. Montreal, QC H4B 1R6.
The audition will be a workshop style audition, meaning participants should all arrive at 6:30pm and be ready to start at 7pm. Please have prepared a modern monologue from a play (late-nineteenth-century onwards). Please don’t prepare something that isn’t from a play – no poems or books passages, etc. (If you need to read your monologue that is ok, or someone could cue you). Also bring an acting CV if you have one. There will also be a very quick form to fill out.
Rehearsals will be held once a week on Wednesday evenings and two intensive weekends (dates to be determined) plus the last two weeks prior to the show there will be a more intensive rehearsal schedule.
Theatre NDG is a community theatre run by volunteers and that seeks to make art creation accessible. The roles are unpaid. All are welcome to audition. Looking for an ethnically-diverse cast. Accents are welcome too but you should be able to speak confidently and project your voice in English. No experience necessary, but enthusiasm and commitment are required.
