The Segal Centre for Performing Arts is excited to announce the upcoming Century Songbook Concert, a multilingual musical retrospective of 100 years of Montreal’s Jewish community. Through song and dance, the richness of Jewish life in this city will be celebrated on the Segal mainstage from November 26th to November 29th, 2017. (Four shows, dates below.)
Dedicated singers/actors are called to be part of this special Dora Wasserman Yiddish Theatre production, featuring music from across the century and in the many languages that make up our diverse community.
Rehearsals are slated to take place on Sundays and Mondays from 7-10 pm, beginning on Sunday, Sept. 10th and running until the shows in late November (excluding the Jewish holidays) – approximately 22 rehearsal sessions.
Participating in this show requires a full commitment to the rehearsal schedule!
Tech week schedule:
Wed, Nov. 22nd – Sat. Nov. 25th.
Sunday, Nov. 26th, 2pm and 7 pm; Mon. Nov. 27th, 8 pm.
Tues. Nov. 28th, 8 pm.
Wed. Nov. 29th, 8 pm.
Please note that while the DWYT appreciates everyone’s interest, not everyone will be able to be included in this production (*auditions may follow*).
