What’s On This Weekend (September 30 – October 2)

These are the selection of shows and events happening in Montreal throughout this upcoming weekend of Friday, September 30th – Sunday, October 2nd, 2016:


  • The Montreal Clown Fest takes over the MainLine with a lineup of fun, frenzied events until Sunday: 8 shows, a workshop, a talk on Bouffon, an opening Gala featuring Mooky Cornish, a gong show, and more! TICKETS ($15)
  • Pour by Daina Ashbee is a dark and contemporary dance piece that documents and exposes menstruation in order to un-censor women’s pain and stories. Only one performance left at La Chapelle on Friday the 30th. TICKETS ($18-34)
  • My Name is Asher Lev by Aaron Posner tells the powerful and moving story of a young Hasidic man divided by his art and his religion and it ends at the Segal Centre for the Performing Arts this Sunday, October 2nd. TICKETS ($24-60)

Also happening at the Segal this Saturday is the Season Opener of Broadway Café, Montreal’s premier open mic night for musical theatre aficionados, and the launch of the Class Act Card, the Segal’s new program for theatregoers under 30.
