Audition Notice: Alien Gaze Productions’ “Enough Already”

Auditions on May 7th; Performances from June 9th to June 18th

Enough Already

Alien Gaze Productions is proud to present Enough Already, a new play by Corrina Hodgson that chronicles the story of one woman’s journey with chronic pain. Enough Already is a powerful and poetic look at the challenges one faces and works to overcome while inhabiting a body in constant pain.

We are looking for a lead actress and a character actress for a show that will be taking place during the Montreal Fringe Festival.

Rehearsals will be throughout the month of May and early June with 6 performances from June 9th to June 18th.

I have somebody else’s fingerprints
Inside my body
I have somebody else’s fingerprints
Etched on my bones

BOOK AN AUDITION NOW!

Female lead, Mia: age range 20s-50s, strong (can be plus size), former athlete who has been dealing with chronic pain for at least 5 years now. We meet her the night before she is planning to do a 5K swim across the lake she grew up on.

Character actress: will play several characters who enter Mia’s world to reveal how medical and personal relationships shape Mia’s experience.

Please be advised that the play has some physical demands, as Pain is a character and interacts with Mia throughout and movement will likely be incorporated.

Auditions will be taking place on Saturday 1:30pm-6:00pm May 7th with the possibility of an alternate audition time if necessary.

If interested, please contact Corrina Hodgson with your availability along with a headshot and resume: corrinahodgson@gmail.com

Please prepare a brief modern monologue of your choice.

Rehearsals will require at least 20 hours a week up until the show opens.

Alien Gaze is an inclusive environment seeking to welcome traditionally marginalized performers of all body types and representations of femininity.
